Bomere is a small fairly private lake just outside of Shrewsbury off the M54/A5. It’s open to members to use their own boats, and has a lot of regular monoskiers, and now I realise why this place has been almost a secret to wakeboarders. This is hands-down the best commercial lake I have ever been to. It’s amazing; the tree’s that line the shores are huge and dense, keeping the wind at bay year round. We had 25mph winds all day but the lake was flat and glassy, it just didn’t make sense! Add to this the length, perfect width and 14-meter depth for making a big-ass wake, and you have perfection. It’s the closest thing to Radar Lake I’ve ever seen, yet it was made by Mother Nature herself rather than some skiers and a JCB.
Alliance were here to shoot the part of the Ride Guide that demonstrates high-end boat ownership, and to do this justice they needed a boat with something special. Cue Midland Nautiques and the brand new limited run Scott Byerly edition Super Air 210. Customisation on boats isn’t something you see a lot of surprisingly, yet the attention to detail on this boat really is something else. It look’s sick, has a fantastic wake and can get on the plain in seconds when full of ballast, people and fat sacks.
All the guys got to ride twice as this was the first day where alliance had to hit one spot, and the lack of rushing around was a welcome change to the week.
