2013 will see two of the biggest names in UK Wakeboarding coming together, helping to push the sport harder than ever before. Matt Crowhurst will join the Nautique team courtesy of the Midland and Scotland Nautique crew. With all the branding trimmings that come as standard with any sponsorship Matt will also be resident Pro coach at Loch Lomond Wakeboard school for a number of days in the year as well as hitting up the Midlands Nautique wakeboard fraternity for several pro clinics throughout the season. Having been involved with the sport for so long Matt appreciates the worth of being on board with one of the biggest brands in Wakeboarding. “You don’t get by bigger than Nautique and quite apart from having the opportunity to ride the awesome G23 all year, getting to work with Midlands and Scotland Nautique crew who support the sport so well in the UK is a complete privilege.

Nautique is excited to introduce the Nautique Surf System™ (NSS) with WAVEPLATE technology, available on Super Air Nautique models.
The Nautique Surf System creates a fully customizable surf wave at the press of a button. This completely new and innovative way of shaping the wave will make any wakesurfer’s experience more enjoyable than ever.
The WAVEPLATE is an integrated design that when deployed extends outward and down from the transom intercepting and redirecting the flow of water to clean up the wake and form a surf wave unlike anything offered in our industry. This not only allows the ability to form a wave on either side instantly, but also allows for wave customization with variable intensity settings that adjust wave steepness and shape by controlling exactly how much the plate is engaged.
Integrated into the Nautique LINC System, users have the ability to customize their settings instantly and save them in personalized profiles that store and automatically engage your preferred speed, ballast settings, and WAVEPLATE position.

Last March Nautique created more buzz in our industry than anyone can ever recall with the introduction of a boat wakeboard legend Shaun Murray called a “game changer;” the Super Air Nautique G23. Our “Reveal” party was packed and so many people tried to watch online that it crashed both the webcast and our Nautique website. It was definitely one of the most exciting nights in the history of our industry.
Interestingly, I had some well-intended friends ask me if we were making a mistake creating so much hype over a boat introduction. They sincerely said that we were creating a pretty high set of expectations related to the boat and it would be hard to deliver on those expectations.
So, six months later, what has happened?
Well, we started with the Nautique Wake Games held here in Orlando just two weeks after the G23 introduction. It was the first time the boat would be seen on the water and it was pulling one of the industry’s most exciting events. No pressure, huh? Well, the Wake Games ended up being historic with the landing of the first ever wake-to-wake 1080 in competition. In all the great wakeboard competitions over the past couple decades it was that first time that happened and it was behind the G23. Then, it happened again; a second wake-to-wake 1080! What had never happened before happened twice in the same day. The Super Air Nautique G23 was off to an amazing start!
After the Nautique Wake games we were able to get some G23’s around for people to ride as part of our Proving Grounds Tour. As the Super Air Nautique G23’s traveled around the country people were amazed. At stop after stop people were lining up to experience this boat that was truly a game changer. Our team could not be happier with the response of so many people who have ridden in or behind the G23 and have loved it, many placing orders for their own!
The Super Air Nautique was validated in competition, it was validated by wakeboarders everywhere and finally it was validated by our industry. Earlier this month members of our industry voted the Nautique G23 as the industry’s “Most Innovative Product.”
So, was the hype too big? Nope, in fact, it may not have been big enough. This boat is truly amazing!
The world’s best wake boat; the world’s best ski boat; and a company that cares!

In 2008 the 1st Tony and Ryan competition was held at Chasewater Ski Club in loving memory of two very special people, Ryan & Tony Birch who were tragically killed in 2007 in an aircraft accident. Both family and friends were compelled to share a time to remember two very special people who they all lost from their lives. For the love, devotion and dedication that Ryan had for wakeboarding, it was decided that the most fitting memorial for Ryan and his dad would be to hold a wakeboard competition.
Each year the competition has grown in numbers both entrants and spectators. Due to the continual works at Chasewater this years competition is again being held at the West Midlands Water Ski Centre . Following the change in venue last year, it was decided to make the 2010 comp a one day event. This year we are taking up the whole weekend!!!!!!!! This years comp is being made even bigger!!!!!
Friday 14th September is practise day, a great day for a sneaky peak at the entrants to the comp
Saturday 15th September is open for entries to the Ryan Comp; there are 8 divisions Groms, Boys, Girls, Junior Mens, Junior Womens, Open Womens.and Pros

The night of the 15th brings the Big air kicker comp this is held in front of the water front bar once darkness falls. Its great for the spectators as well as the rides with cash prize for 1st 2nd and 3rd it will be worth entering.

We are always looking out for talented young riders who are making their name in the wakeboarding world, for a while we have been following the growing talent of a fantastic young wakeboarder, Jorge Gill.
Jorge, who is currently riding in Orlando, Florida recently competed at the 2012 Nautique Wake Games, our guys from the Nautique factory watched as this young British wakeboarder proved his worth behind the phenomenal wake of the G23.
Jorge certainly had the Nautique guys talking and we are now happy to announce that Nautique in association with Midlands Nautique will be sponsoring Jorge for the 2012 season.
Knowing Jorge and his parents personally we have every belief that Jorge will do well in whatever he does, its an added delight to be able to help such a keen and genuinely nice guy who’s love for the sport and fantastic attitude towards it can be clearly seen.
With the continued encouragement and support from all his sponsors Jorge certainly has the talent, potential and backing to do great things. Jorge really does deserve all the support he can get and we are extremely happy to be apart of that.

SUPER AIR NAUTIQUE G23 MAKES HISTORY AT ITS VERY FIRST EVENT

For the first time ever, anywhere in the world in a wakeboarding competition, a wake-to-wake 1080 was landed at the Nautique Wake Games this past weekend in Orlando, Florida. This never before achieved feat was made possible by the revolutionary wake of the new Super Air Nautique G23. Then, as if to prove it was not a fluke, a second wakeboarder landed the same trick again. From never happening before to happening twice in one day in the Super Air Nautique G23’s debut.
The Nautique Wake Games showcased the revolutionary wake of the Super Air Nautique G23 with the best wakeboard athletes in the world competing. Harley Clifford (Australia) was the first wakeboarder to land a wake-to-wake 1080 followed by Oli Derome (Canada) who went out and stuck the second 1080 after Clifford. Fans went wild as they lined the shore and watched history go down behind the G23.
“It was amazing to watch history being made when two incredible athletes landed back-to-back 1080’s behind the revolutionary Super Air Nautique G23 this past weekend. In early March our Nautique team began rolling out the launch plan for the unveiling of the boat the world has now seen, our revolutionary new Super Air Nautique G23!
When we started executing the launch plan people in our industry almost immediately began asking me if I thought we were building up expectations to an unreachable level. I was reminded many times that we were making a big gamble if we could not deliver on the lofty claims of wakeboard athletes like Shaun Murray who were using words like “game changer” to describe our new G23.
The hype built all through March and by the time we held our unveiling of the new G23, tens of thousands of people had shown interest in the new boat through our website, discussion boards, Facebook and other social media outlets. A big crowd showed up for the unveiling causing us to run out of both parking and room for everyone in the building. Both the webcast, which was well planned, and our Nautique website blew up because such a huge number of people were trying to access it at once. The world wanted to learn about this new Nautique!
Well now the world has seen what we kept for a secret for so long. People have had a chance to experience what we believed would be changing our industry, the all-new Super Air Nautique G23.
The comments have been unbelievable and confirmed exactly what we knew, the boat is amazing. Person after person who has been on the water with the boat has told me how their expectations have not only been met, but have been exceeded! One respected industry leader (and great wakeboarder) rode behind the boat with stock ballast and told me he would be scared to put extra ballast in the boat. In just the first few days since the boat has been introduced two long-time pro wakeboarders, Jeff McKee and JD Webb, have already landed new tricks they have never before been able to land.

Nautique’s designers, engineers and elite team of professional riders started with a clean slate and created a wake that gives every rider the opportunity to do things they only dreamed possible. The G23 features the all-new Nautique Configurable Running Surface (NCRS) which fine-tunes the hull surface under any condition using the latest technology in our Nautique LINC system.
